Mohamed Trabelsi received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Higher Engineering School of Tunis (ENSIT), Tunisia in 2005, M.Sc. in electrical engineering and industrial Systems from ENSIT, Tunisia in 2007, and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, from Aix-Marseille University - Central School of Marseille (ECM), France in 2012.

He was an Assistant Professor at the University Institute of Technology (IUT) of Rennes and at the Faculty of Science of Marseille, Aix-Marseille University.

He was an Associate Professor at the National Engineering School of Sousse (ENISO), Tunisia.

He was an Invited Professor at the National Higher School of Arts & Crafts (ENSAM), Lille, France.

Since September 2018, he is a post-doctoral research at the French Naval Academy of Brest, France.

His research interests include systems control, diagnosis and fault tolerance with applications arising in the contexts of Three-phase Electrical Drives, Multiphase Electrical Drives, Power Electronics, Energy Conversion, and Renewable Energies Integration. Dr. Trabelsi has been participating as Principal Investigator in several collaborative national and international industrial research projects. He has published more than 45 journal and conference papers.
