Naval Academy Training Courses for Foreign Officers (CENOE)

Created in 1995, the Naval Academy training courses for foreign officers provides the initial training for officers from friendly, non-francophone countries. Under the leadership of the academies, it is overseen by seconded sailors and civilian personnel from the DCI-NAVFCO company.

The training is given over four years, the first three of which take place at the Naval Academy. After a first year dedicated to learning the French language, the cadets
undertake military, maritime and scientific training for two years, in one of the two following professional tracks: bridge or energy.

Cadets undertake a fourth year of specialisation at the “Centre d’Instruction Naval de Saint-Mandrier” (Naval Instruction Centre of Saint-Mandrier) before returning to
their country of origin.
