Jacques-André ASTOLFI

Jacques André Astolfi est maître de conférences en mécanique. Il est titulaire d’un doctorat de l’université d’Aix-Marseille II, spécialité mécanique des fluides et Habilité à Diriger des Recherches. Au cours de sa thèse, il s’est particulièrement intéressé au bruit propre généré par les couches limites turbulentes au voisinage des parois.

Depuis son arrivée à l’école navale (février 1994) il s’est spécialisé dans le domaine de l’hydrodynamique en environnement naval. Les thèmes de recherche développés sont :

l’étude expérimentale et la modélisation des écoulements cavitants sur surfaces portantes, l’étude des phénomènes d’instabilité des écoulements cavitants et couplage fluide-structure associé, l’étude de l’hydrodynamique des surfaces portantes en mouvement forcé, application aux systèmes de propulsion instationnaire, l’étude des modèles hydrodynamiques des AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle).

II enseigne la mécanique des fluides, la vibration des structures, des éléments d’interaction fluide-structure et la propulsion.
